With the aim of developing a reliable and valid measure or measures of contraceptive hesitancy in different contexts across Sub-Saharan Africa, this literature review sought to explore if and how the 5C framework applies to contraceptive hesitancy. We reviewed literature on both vaccines and contraceptive hesitancy, including peer-reviewed and grey literature published betweeen 2010 and 2022. In total, 1,356 articles were identified and screened.
